Ogengo Primary School

Re. Application of Mr. Dennis Toko as an International Ambassador for Ogengo Primary School

Ogengo primary school is a government aided church of Uganda founded primary school located in Ogengo Village. Alal Parish. Aloi Sub County. Moroto County, Alebtong district, northern Uganda.

The school was established in 1969. but in the period of 2001 to 2005, the school was displaced due to LRA war The current enrollment is 1605 pupils with 13 teachers. I am grateful to state that the school has produced some great men and women of this nation.

Being an old school, the challenges are many, including the following:

  • Inadequate classroom blocks and in poor state

  • Limited accommodation for the staff

  • Inadequate staff (both teaching and non-teaching)

  • Lack of a well-furnished library

  • Lack of funds to facilitate the members especially in capacity building.

  • The school is not fenced making it susceptible to criminal elements

With the challenges listed and many more, the school has deemed it necessary to have an international Ambassador that can help to fundraise and mobilize resources in order to enable the school to become a model school in Alebtong district and northern Uganda at large

The school management has known Mr. Dennis Toko as a person of integrity, generosity, optimism, and empathetic to bring community through the provision of quality education in the school We therefore with great pleasure appoint Mr. Dennis Toko who is currently based in the United Kingdom as an international Ambassador to lobby support for Ogengo Primary School
