Re. Appointment of Mr. Dennis Toko as an International Ambassador for Anyavu Primary School

With great honor, I would like to inform you that Anyavu primary school is a government aided church of Uganda founded primary school located in Logiri Sub County, Arua district and West Nile sub-region of Uganda close to Democratic Republic of Congo boarder. The school was established in 1927 and later registered by Ministry of Education in 1935. The current enrollment of the school is 955 pupils with 13 Teachers. I am therefore grateful to inform you that the products of this school have served in various high profile positions in both government and private sector.

Being an old school, the challenges experienced by the school are enormous. Notably:

  • Inadequate accommodation for the staff and the few standing structures are dilapidated

  • Inadequate class room blocks with the few standing classroom blocks in dilapidated condition creating unconducive learning environment for the pupils

  • Inadequate staff, creating work load on the few teachers

  • The school lacks preprimary section which is very vital for the muddling of the pupils at tender
    age

  • Lack of well-furnished library facility to inculcate reading culture

  • Lack of funds to facilitate staff and the pupils exposer through educational tourism

  • The school is not fenced making it susceptible to criminal elements

With all these enormous challenges, the school has deemed it fit to have an international ambassador
that can help to fundraise and mobilize resources in order to enable the school to became a model
school in Arua district

The school management has known Mr. Dennis Toko as a person of integrity, generosity, optimism
and empathy to bring community transformation through the provision of quality education in the
school. We therefore with great pleasure appoint Mr. Dennis Toko currently based in the United
Kingdom (UK) as an International Ambassador to lobby support for Anyavu primary school
